Kitchen Remodeling in Newport Beach, CA

A kitchen remodel involves more trades than any other room in the house: demolition, framing, plumbing, gas, electrical, ventilation, cabinetry, countertops, tile and finish carpentry. Siemonsma Construction manages that work as the general contractor, from coordinating the design and handling permits through to the final walkthrough, so one company is responsible for the sequence and the result.

Why Siemonsma Construction

  • More than 40 years of construction experience
  • Licensed and bonded general contractor
  • Works with trusted architects, engineers and interior designers
  • Permit applications, city coordination and approvals handled

How it works

From Design To Build

  1. 01

    Consultation and scope

We meet at the house, talk through how you use the kitchen and what you want to change, and look at the existing structure, plumbing and electrical. That conversation defines the scope of work.

  2. 02

    Design and selections

We coordinate with your architect or interior designer, or with one of the design professionals we work with, so that drawings, cabinets, surfaces, fixtures and appliances are settled before work starts.

  3. 03

    Permits and scheduling

Where the work requires a permit, we prepare the application and coordinate with the city through plan check. Trades and material deliveries are scheduled around the approvals.

  4. 04

    Construction and walkthrough

Demolition and rough work come first, then inspections, then cabinets, counters and finishes. At the end we walk the kitchen with you, write a punch list and complete it before the job is closed out.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, yes. Work that changes plumbing, gas, electrical, ventilation or structural elements generally requires a permit from the city's building department. Finish work on its own, such as painting or replacing flooring, generally does not. We review the scope with you and handle the permit application and city coordination where a permit is required.

Usually, yes, although you will be without a working kitchen for part of the project. Many homeowners set up a temporary kitchen in another room. Dust control, access and work hours are worth discussing before construction starts so you know what to expect.

It depends on the size of the room, whether walls, plumbing or gas lines move, and the cabinets, surfaces and appliances you choose. We do not publish price ranges because they mean little without seeing the space. Contact us to talk through your project, and we will prepare an estimate from a defined scope.

The schedule depends on the scope, on permit review at the city, and on lead times for cabinets, countertops and appliances, which are often the longest items. We lay out a schedule once the design and selections are settled, so the dates reflect your project and not a generic range.
